This morning (actually yesterday now) found me waking up way too early on a vacation day and running around my apartment like a crazy person trying to make sure that I haven't forgotten to pack anything important (Driver's Licence- check, swimsuit- check...I don't supposed I'd really be missing anything else if that's all I took!) or forgotten to turn off anything important (lights- I think so, heater- definitely).
Getting to the airport to catch my flight to Florida has had little snafus. However, if I thought there would be less crowds on a Wednesday morning I was sorely mistaken. The bag drop line at JetBlue double back on itself and the line to go through security took almost an hour to get through. Apparently though, it didn't really matter how long it took as my flight has been delayed almost an hour anyway. However, the sun is shining through the airport window and I'm considering just spending my vacation warming myself like a cat near it. Alas I realize that that wouldn't be as much fun as visiting my old college roommate and providing her with her mini-care package from Trader Joe's (apparently they don't exist in Gainesville, FL).
This vacation is promising to be filled with road trips, sun, studying (I may be on vacation but I'm still a grad student!) and whatever Takeuchian antics my roomie can come up with! Too bad our third roommate couldn't make it, the power of Apt. C5 would be reunited for the first time in almost 6 years...
